Clare burst onto the international swimming scene, aged just 15, as she won five medals at the Barcelona 1992 Paralympic Games. She also took the World Championships by storm in 1994. In 2009, Clare became world and European champion in para triathlon. She was the first ever female para triathlete to sit on the ITU Athletes Committee and is now the Head of Athlete Services at ParalympicsGB.

Matthew is a four-time Olympic gold medallist who won the coxless pairs in 1992 and 1996 and the coxless fours in 2000 and 2004. He also claimed 10 golds at the World Championships before embarking on a broadcasting career with the BBC post-retirement. Matthew was an elected member of the IOC’s Athlete Commission and previously sat on the BOA’s Executive Board.

Liz is Director of Engagement & Partnerships with Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People. She has worked in various senior fundraising roles with Help for Hospices and the British Red Cross, was Head of Fundraising for the Royal British Legion (Poppy Factory) for six years and latterly was the Director of Fundraising, Retail and Communications with The Children’s Trust.
