SportsAid Connect, powered by RBC
SportsAid Connect, powered by RBC, is a digital platform that brings together support, guidance, learning and community in one place.
Developed by SportsAid, the platform is designed for athletes supported by the charity, as well as their parents and caregivers. It provides a safe and trusted space to access expert advice, explore practical resources and connect with others navigating the demands of the sporting pathway.
What is SportsAid Connect?
SportsAid Connect is a dedicated online community that supports talented, emerging athletes and the people around them.
It is the first independent, cross-sport platform of its kind, bringing together athletes, parents, caregivers and SportsAid alumni in one place. The platform offers a range of resources to support both sporting performance and personal development, alongside opportunities to connect with others who understand the unique challenges of progressing in sport.
Access to SportsAid Connect is free for members of the SportsAid community, ensuring a focused and supportive environment.
Why it matters
Progressing in sport can be both rewarding and challenging. Alongside training and competition, athletes often balance education, wellbeing and personal development.
While SportsAid has long provided financial support to help with the costs of sport, research has shown that athletes and families also value access to guidance, reassurance and shared experience.
SportsAid Connect has been created to meet this need. By bringing together expert content and a supportive community, the platform helps athletes, and their families feel more informed, more confident and better supported throughout their journey.

The Life Skills Hub, supported by RBC
A central feature of SportsAid Connect is the Life Skills Hub, supported by RBC.
This area of the platform focuses on developing the skills and knowledge athletes need beyond sport. It brings together practical guidance, expert insight and real-life experiences across key areas, including:
-
Financial literacy
-
Mental wellbeing
-
Communication and personal development
The Life Skills Hub is designed to help athletes build confidence, develop independence and prepare for life both during and after their sporting careers.
It also provides parents and caregivers with valuable insight into the challenges athletes face, helping them better support their development.
Powered by RBC
SportsAid Connect has been made possible through SportsAid’s long-standing partnership with Royal Bank of Canada.
Since 2014, RBC has supported more than 500 athletes across the UK through a combination of financial support and development opportunities. This includes mentoring, workshops and initiatives designed to support athletes both on and off the field of play.
The partnership is built on a shared commitment to supporting young people not only as athletes, but as individuals. Through SportsAid Connect, RBC is helping to extend that support further, making guidance, learning and community more accessible to athletes and their families.
A growing community
SportsAid Connect will continue to evolve, with new content, features and opportunities added over time.
At its heart is a community shaped by the experiences of its members, creating a space where athletes, parents and caregivers can learn, connect and support one another throughout their journey in sport.
