SportsAid Scotland has supported many of the nation's most successful athletes of all time since being founded in 1980. Sir Chris Hoy, Dame Katherine Grainger, Allan Wells MBE, Liz McColgan MBE, David Florence and David Carry are just a few of these stars who benefited from the support of SportsAid Scotland when starting out on their sporting journeys. 

SportsAid Scotland, originally know as the Scottish Sports Aid Foundation, has made more than 5,100 individual awards, totalling in excess of £3.1 million. SportsAid Scotland has its own charity number (SC 000468) with over 280 athletes benefiting from its fundraising activities each year. Roddy Mackenzie is the Chief Executive of SportsAid Scotland.

Sinclair

Jason is a Partner and Head of ED&I Strategy at QCL Associates LLP - a specialist management consultancy operating across global markets. He is also Relationship Director at Profile Resourcing - an inclusive practice recruitment partner business. Jason holds several Non-Executive Director posts at organisations such as Naturally Tribal Skincare, Arthur Ellis MHS and Worktree.org. He joined SportsAid Eastern as a trustee in 2019.

Robinson

Steve is a partner at Mercer & Hole Chartered Accountants based in their Milton Keynes office. He is also a director of the Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce with a clear focus on the Next Generation part of the Chamber, a school governor for a Northamptonshire secondary school and a Scout Leader. He regularly attends the Milton Keynes and Northampton SportsAid Lunches - the latter for over 10 years.

Perry

Steve became a Trustee of SportsAid Eastern in 2015 having successfully operated the Bucks Sporting Lunch Club since 2011. A Digital Marketing Manager by trade and former sports graduate of Bucks New University, Steve was a Gamesmaker for the International Paralympic Committee during London 2012. He has worked at B P Collins for over a decade where he leads on implementing the firm's digital marketing and business development strategy.

Ormerod (chair)

Mark’s professional career in sport started in 1989. Following the completion of his MSc he joined the research team at the Sports Council, now known as Sport England, holding a number of positions developing sporting opportunities for young people at national and regional level over 17 years. Mark joined Leap - the Bucks and MK County Sports Partnership - as Director in 2012 and became Chair of SportsAid Eastern in 2017.

Melanie
Beck

Melanie is a former competitive diver who now acts as Chair of the British Swimming Performance Management Board. She is also a European representative member of the FINA Technical Diving Committee. In 2010, she was asked to take on the role of Honorary Secretary for FINA High Diving following the integration of this disciple in to the World Federation. Melanie joined SportsAid Eastern as a Trustee in 2011.

Bradley

Adam is a partner and the Head of the Corporate Team at Taylor Vinters LLP - a law firm focused on working with innovative and entrepreneurial clients. The firm has offices in Cambridge, London and Singapore. Adam is a strong believer in the benefits of sport for all and has been actively involved with SportsAid in Cambridge since 2005 when he joined Taylor Vinters. He became a Trustee of the charity in 2017.

Adam works of Suffolk County Council managing the authorities work on increasing sport and physical activity within Suffolk. He has been involved with SportsAid Eastern since 2007 when, in his role as Suffolk Project Manager for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, he led the authority’s efforts to raise additional funding to support the county’s aspiring sportsmen and women. He became a Trustee of SportsAid Eastern in 2012.
