SportsAid is seeking two new Trustees to join the charity’s Board as it enters an exciting new chapter and celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026.

Since 1976, SportsAid has been the charity backing the belief of the next generation of British athletes, providing financial support, recognition and personal development opportunities to help them fulfil their potential in sport and in life.
Many of the UK’s most iconic athletes, including Sir Mo Farah, Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, Ellie Simmonds and Tom Daley, received a SportsAid award early in their careers.

Today, with HRH The Princess of Wales as our Patron, we continue to support emerging talent across more than 60 sports.
In the charity’s 50th anniversary year, we are looking for two individuals who share our belief that talent is everywhere, but opportunity isn't, and who can bring their experience, insight and networks to help shape the charity's future.
Both Trustees will play an important role in providing strategic oversight and constructive challenge to the Executive Leadership Team, helping to shape SportsAid's long-term direction while ensuring strong governance and accountability.
They will also act as ambassadors for the charity, building relationships and championing SportsAid's mission across sport, business and wider society.
The first appointment will focus on People, Culture and Organisational Development, bringing experience of leading and developing teams, organisational change and HR to help inform SportsAid's approach to its people and culture.
The second will bring a Sport and Athlete Perspective to the Board, with experience of high-performance sport and the environment in which talented young athletes develop. This could come from a background as an athlete or coach, or through a senior or influential role within the sporting sector.
Previous Trustee or Non-Executive experience is welcome but not essential. Above all, we are looking for people with strong judgement, integrity and credibility, who genuinely believe in SportsAid's mission and are willing to become active champions for the charity beyond the boardroom.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape the next chapter of a charity that has supported generations of athletes, while helping ensure the next generation has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
