SportsAid is proud to celebrate that 12 of the 25 athletes selected to represent ParalympicsGB at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympic Games have benefited from the charity’s support programmes, including TASS.

From early financial assistance helping to cover training and competition costs, to recognition at key stages of development, SportsAid and TASS have played an important role in supporting nearly half of the ParalympicsGB team on their pathway to the world stage.
Seeing 12 alumni preparing to compete at one of sport’s most prestigious events highlights the lasting impact of targeted support at the right time in an athlete’s career.
Among those heading to Italy are established names and rising stars across multiple disciplines, each with their own inspiring journey to the Paralympic stage.
That includes six-time Paralympic medallist Menna Fitzpatrick, who made her Games debut in PyeongChang in 2016. She will act as flagbearer for the opening ceremony.
Scott Meenagh will too be flagbearer for the opening ceremony, as he looks to sign off a big decade in Para Nordic. He too made his Games debut in 2016.
Nina Sparks was supported by SportsAid Eastern four years ago with aspirations of making the Milano-Cortina Games, and a meteoric rise in the sport sees her make history as the first women to compete for ParalympicsGB in para snowboarding.
All 12 names are:
