SportsAid is delighted to reveal the 10 athletes on the shortlist for this year’s One-to-Watch Award. The winner will be announced at the charity’s Celebrate the Next event, sponsored by Royal Bank of Canada, at Sea Containers House in London on Tuesday 19 November. The annual award was launched in 2006 and looks to shine a spotlight on the achievements of Britain’s brightest young sporting prospects.

The inspiring stories of Britain’s most talented young athletes continues to fuel enthusiasm for SportsAid Week as support for the 2019 edition once again reaffirmed the initiative’s position as a stand-out fixture in the country’s annual sporting calendar. Fundraising has now surpassed £175,000 since SportsAid Week first took place following the Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2016. Next year’s dates are confirmed for 21-27 September.

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has praised the ‘often unrivalled dedication’ shown by talented young athletes and their families in a message celebrating this year’s SportsAid Week. In the message, The Duchess also highlighted ‘the supporters and partners of SportsAid’ for the role they have played in ensuring the athletes can pursue their ambitions. The Duchess became the Patron of SportsAid in 2013.
