Boxing sensation Caroline Dubois, 17, has been named as the winner of SportsAid’s prestigious One-to-Watch Award at the charity’s annual SportsBall, sponsored by Royal Bank of Canada, this evening (15 November). She was presented with the award by Greg Rutherford after an outstanding year which saw her win gold at the Youth Olympic Games, the Youth World Championships and the European Youth Continental Championships.

The third annual SportsAid Week saw another magnificent fundraising effort from the charity’s supporters generate over £55,000 to provide backing to the next generation of British sporting talent. The initiative has now raised close to £150,000 since it first took place in 2016 to mark the charity’s 40th anniversary. Next year’s dates have already been announced for 23-29 September as SportsAid Week.

For well over a decade, Rayner Essex has been supporting SportsAid by running Lunch Clubs in Bloomsbury and St Albans, with the latter involving co-sponsors, to raise much-needed funds to help young talented athletes cover training and competition costs during the critical early stages of their careers.
