SportsAid alumni, ambassadors, current athletes and partners will be coming together to celebrate at the charity's 40th anniversary SportsBall on Thursday 24 November 2016....and you can be one of the first to join them!

For the last four decades, SportsAid has helped British athletes overcome financial challenges and fueled them with greater motivation to succeed during the critical early stages of their careers. The annual SportsBall has acted as a key fundraiser throughout that time.

It has had a direct impact on the future success of household names such as Steve Redgrave, Tanni Grey-Thompson, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Chris Hoy, Paula Radcliffe, Mo Farah, Ellie Simmonds, Bradley Wiggins and Tom Daley, who have all been previous recipients of SportsAid Awards.

The SportsBall, sponsored by Eversheds, provides a special opportunity to recognise SportsAid’s work and the achievements of its athletes over 40 years while raising money to support the next generation of British sporting heroes bidding to win Olympic and Paralympic medals.

The London Hilton Park Lane will host the SportsBall for a second consecutive year on what promises to be the charity’s biggest gala dinner yet. The SportsBall has grown in popularity year-on-year with Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge, SportsAid’s Patron, attending in 2013.

The Duchess presented the charity’s prestigious One-to-Watch Award to skeet shooter Amber Hill with other previous winners including diver Tom Daley, gymnast Courtney Tulloch, sprinter Jodie Williams, heptathlete Morgan Lake and windsurfer Emma Wilson.

The presentation of the One-to-Watch Award is one of the highlights of this black tie event with guests enjoying a three-course dinner, treated to stunning live performances and given the opportunity to try their hand at different activities in the sports fairground.

Tickets are available from £275 with a range of table options. These are bound to be snapped up quickly so make sure to get your places secured now! The SportsBall gets underway at 7pm and finishes at 2am. You can visit www.sportsball.org.uk for further information.
