SportsAid is seeking to recruit a new National Awards Manager as the charity looks to further strengthen its support for the next generation of British sports stars. The successful applicant will lead and develop the charity’s work with the national governing bodies of sport (NGBs) and their talent identification structures. The role requires a passion for sport, a good understanding of the sporting sector, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
This exciting role is based in central London and is an existing post with a national brief, reporting directly to the Chief Executive. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of all aspects of the charity’s award-making strategy, including:
You should be educated to degree level (or recognised equivalent), have experience of developing and maintaining partnerships, and possess a good understanding of talent identification and/or grant award management. A sound working-knowledge of database management and Excel is essential, as are good project management skills. This is a rare opportunity to join a committed and driven team.
