Interview

How did you first get involved in your sport?

I was involved in a road traffic accident when I was 9 years old. I used basketball as a rehabilitation to get use to being in a wheelchair. This is when I fell in love with the game.

What does a typical week look like for you?

I rest on Mondays, have 3 sessions at EIS Sheffield on Tuesdays, 2 on Wednesdays, 3 on Thursdays, 1 session at EIS Sheffield on Friday, and another in Middlesborough.

What motivates you to continue in your sport?

I like the constant challenge of the game. Basketball is always evolving and I love that this means as players we are constantly adapting new skills in and out of the chair.

Who is your sporting hero and why?

Simon Munn. He has a career that spans out nearly 22 years with GB. He is full of wisdom and he is also the first person to give me my professional contract in Italy.

What do you do in your free time?

I like to travel a lot. This is from my father and the many years he spent working for British Airways. I love to experience new cultures and see the world.
