I started weightlifting to accommodate my rugby which was my primary sport at the time. As the years progressed i began to compete and become more successful in weightlifting up to the age of 16, where i chose to focus solely on weightlifting and finish with rugby.
I have five days of uni a week as well as two days of work and nine sessions a week so my days are pretty stacked, i try to keep my sundays as free as possible as down time is important
My main motivation in the sport is the desire to win, especially the Commonwealth games. Past that, my family and friends are really supportive in my goals and that motivates me a great deal
My sporting hero is an american weightlifter called Donny Shankle due to his ability to overcome setbacks as well as his philosophy on weightlifting.
I enjoy watching rugby and playing music
