How did you first get involved in your sport?

Competed at the regional schools after performances in PE class. Won that and went on to the inter-regional schools. Finished 2nd in a race where everyone had spikes and starting blocks and I turned up in jogging bottoms and trainers and a local coach asked me to come along and give it a go.

What does a typical week look like for you?

Two 12 hour dayshifts followed by training at night and then two 12 hour nightshifts with training squeezed in between. Then have four days off to maximise training before my shift rota starts again.

What motivates you to continue in your sport?

Want to achieve everything I can and leave my name in the history books.

Who is your sporting hero and why?

Ed Moses. He revolutionised the event and went on an incredible unbeaten streak. Shows how good he was to stay at the top of his game for so long.

What do you do in your free time?

With the little free time I like to follow my local football team across the country.
