Interview

How did you first get involved in your sport?

I first got involved in sport way back in 2006 with wheelchair basketball. I tried wheelchair racing in 2013 after watching the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

What does a typical week look like for you?

I train 6 days a week; Sunday; 12 mile road push Monday; Track session Tuesday; Roller session am with S&C PM Wednesday; Recovery Session am with Physio pm Thursday; Track session Friday; Starts then S&C Saturday is a rest day.

What motivates you to continue in your sport?

The desire to compete at the highest level, it drives me.

Who is your sporting hero and why?

My hero was David Weir but he’s retired from the track. At the minute I would have to say Marcel Hug, he is dominant on the marathon series and also a Paralympic Champion on the track.

What do you do in your free time?

In my spare time I try to relax and wind down, I mix and record music tracks. I enjoy going to concerts and DJ events.
