The recent SportsAid Celebrity Sports Quiz, hosted in association with Betfair, was held at Chelsea Football Club on 22nd May 2008 and proved to be a huge fundraising success.

A phenomenal amount was raised on the night through auctions and raffles, which was generously matched by Betfair and will go directly to SportsAid to help them fund the stars of the future.

The evening began with a champagne reception before teams sat down to a delicious dinner and were then put to the test with eight gruelling rounds of sporting questions.

Hosted by well known Radio Five presenter John Inverdale, the quiz attracted around 500 guests which included an array of sporting celebrities.  Famous faces included 400m Olympic medallist Katharine Merry, former Javelin world record holder Steve Backley OBE and Iwan Thomas MBE, all previous recipients of SportsAid grants.
