Cash 4 Clubs helps grassroots sports

Betfair is delighted to continue its commitment to sport in partnership with SportsAid, with the relaunch of its Cash 4 Clubs scheme. 

Following on from a successful fundraising partnership as the official charity partner of Betfair, SportsAid is pleased to be able to support this sports club grant scheme.  Cash 4 Clubs has been relaunched nationwide, with its aim to help grassroots sport by providing much needed funds to community sports clubs.

Cash 4 Clubs offers all sports clubs in the UK the chance to win grants ranging from £250 to £1000. It is a simple scheme aimed at giving community clubs a helping hand and provide the opportunity to raise the money they need to invest in their club.

The relaunch in May 2009 has been supported by Mark Foster, a SportsAid alumni, Olympic Swimmer and World Record Holder: "Community sports clubs are the grassroots of sport. It was at my local club in Southend that I started swimming and developed into a professional and without the support of this community based club I would never have represented my country at the top level of the sport. Clubs need funds and that is why Cash 4 Clubs is such a fantastic scheme as it gets money straight to where it can have the most impact."
