International Fitness Week

Posted on 25 Feb 2010

SportsAid athlete Daniel Pembroke joined Dr Hillary Jones and Keith Selwood from Fitness First to launch International Fitness Week.

In a bid to inspire more people to get active, Fitness First opened its doors to the public offering free gym sessions with a theme for each day of the week. Although not everyone will get to the dizzy heights of international athletics like Daniel, the hope is that more people will have kick started a healthier lifestyle.

Daniel is one of 300 SportsAid athletes to benefit from free membership to the largest health and fitness group in the world. As Great Britain U20 no. 2 in the javelin and ranked no. 7 at senior level, Daniel’s story and dedication to his sport proved to be a real inspiration to many people at the launch event.
