Young Tennis Stars Have a Ball in Paris

Four budding tennis players got VIP treatment and met one of the games all time greats in Paris recently thanks to GDF Suez.
Jazzi Plews, Lila Simpson, Lana Rush and Alex Herd, who are all supported by SportsAid and GDF Suez, rubbed shoulders with none other than French tennis legend Amelie Mauresmo at the GDF Suez Open.

After watching a full day of tennis from the best seats in the house, the four young athletes received the full hospitality experience at the GDF Suez player village before meeting the former world number one and Wimbledon champion.

SportsAid, previously known as SportsAid Foundation (SAF), was founded in 1976. Its principal function was to raise funds from the private sector to provide financial assistance to Britain's amateur sportsmen and women. The aim was to help them prepare for competitions against better-funded, overseas athletes.
