Rising Stars at Team GB Launch
SportsAid athletes James Hunt and Catherine Clement took centre stage at the Team GB Launch at Somerset House last night.
As future Olympic hopefuls, figure skating pair James and Catherine gave a magnificent performance on the ice, demonstrating the skills required to compete in one of the winter disciplines.
Held by the British Olympic Association, the launch announced a further 19 athletes selected for Team GB and the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Official sportswear partner adidas also unveiled the Team GB kit.
The athletes announced yesterday, from 4 sports and 7 disciplines are joining the 24 athletes who have already been announced to travel to the Games as part of Team GB, bringing the total to 43 athletes across 6 sports and 10 disciplines. Final selections for skeleton and men

SportsAid, previously known as SportsAid Foundation (SAF), was founded in 1976. Its principal function was to raise funds from the private sector to provide financial assistance to Britain's amateur sportsmen and women. The aim was to help them prepare for competitions against better-funded, overseas athletes.
