Sharron Davies
Sharron won a silver medal in the 400m individual medley at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow, and two gold medals at the 1978 Commonwealth Games in Edmonton. Since retiring from the sport, she has worked as television presenter and regularly supports SportsAid's work.

It came at the end of my career, but it was a valuable aid to my parents who were struggling with all the costs associated with top class training.
