Christian Malcolm
Christian sprang to prominence in 1998 at the World Junior Championships, winning gold and has since proven himself to be one of the best sprinters in the world.
In 1996, aged 17, Christian was Britain’s fastest junior over 200m and reached the World Junior semi-finals. His arrival on the International circuit was against the legendary Carl Lewis at Zurich in 1997; Christian beat Carl who earmarked him as a future star. In that year he also was awarded the ‘Junior Male Athlete of the Year’ by the IAAF.
In 1998 he became the World junior 100m and 200m Champion. In 2000, at the age of 21 he won the European Indoor Championships and finished 5th at the Sydney Olympics.
Injury plagued Christian for the next few seasons but claimed gold at the 2002 European Championships in the 4x100m.
