Legends

Amy Williams

Originally a runner, Amy began training in skeleton after trying the sport on a push-start track at the University of Bath. She was supported by SportsAid (through TASS) and became a member of her nation's team four years later at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games. She won Great Britain's only gold medal, becoming the first British individual gold medalist at a Winter Olympics for 30 years.

“I benefited from TASS in 2004-2006 when I was studying towards my degree in Sport Performance. The support I received through the team of physiotherapists and coaches at Bath University allowed me to train and compete at the top level, it gave me the edge I needed to send me on my way to Olympic Gold.”
