Tell the world (bit by bit)
Send out your fundraising page/form in batches. First, send it to your core supporters – the people who are likely to be most generous. Then tailor your emails/letters and send them to your work colleagues and your friends.
Tell everybody about your plans. Be utterly shameless. It is a big target you want to meet so make sure everyone you know knows you are raising money for SportsAid and the future of British sport.
If you are a member of any kind of club or organisation – a gym, golf club, running club, poker club or professional body – make sure they know about your fundraising efforts. If you have a local pub, make sure everyone there knows too.
And if you have some contacts in your mobile that you don't have an email address for, don’t forget to send them a text message with the address of your fundraising page.
