Tin Tin practices every day after school with her
coach, dad Charles. She has been playing since
she was five years old and attends England
training camps around once a month.

Tin Tin has become used to playing against older
players as she has dominated her own age group
since she took up the sport. Despite her young
age she recently managed to win the British title
for Under 13, Under 12 and Under 11 girls. She
did so without losing a game in the U11 & U12
competitions!

She has gained International experience this
summer with participation in the Six Nations
tournament, Mini Cadet tournament in Holland,
European Mini Championships in France and
most recently at the Euro Mini Champs in
Belgium.

Tin Tin’s favourite player and sporting inspiration
is China’s Wang Nan who won Silver at the 2008
Beijing Olympic Games.

She was the only girl chosen to train in Germany
as part of the ETTA squad and competed at the
U15 European Youth Championships for England
in Prague in July. Tin Tin also plays for the
London region, helping them win the Regional
Squad Championships and Middlesex, taking the
County Championships at Cadet level.

Speaking of her spot on the SportsAid 16 for
2016 list she said: “I am really pleased to be
picked for the 16 for 2016 list especially as I’m
still really young in comparison to others. I would
love to make it to the Olympic Games in 2016, I’ll
keep training hard and playing as well as I can to
get there.”
