Katie is currently a member of the England Development Squad and in 2008 came first in all the events but one that she entered at the ‘British Championships – Mountain Snow’ and the ‘British Indoor Championships – Snow’ (six events in total.)

In March and April 2009 Katie fulfilled a long term aim when she competed at the British Freeski Championships in Laax, Switzerland. The title up for grabs was the coveted one of ‘British Champion’ in the Slopestyle, Skiercross, Halfpipe and Big Air disciplines.  Katie won the overall Slopestyle and Big Air titles, coming 2nd in the halfpipe event, making her the youngest ever British Freeski Champion.

In May 2009 Katie came 1st in the Under 16 category in the Phat Rotations at Bracknell, and in June she finished 1st overall at the Bang Jam in Milton Keynes, which was a Slopestyle competition.

Katie is now looking forward to the exciting opportunity of a trip to the USA, where she hopes to experience the first artificial slope in the US which has been made using ‘Snowflex.’
