of an elite group of gymnasts being targeted at
the 2016 Olympics.

He said: "I was very happy when I heard I had
been picked. My aim is at some stage to go to
the Olympics and 2012 may be too soon. This
group has been picked with specifically 2016 in
mind. There are only six of us, but of course it
doesn't mean we will definitely go.

“We will have to compete against other gymnasts
from the other age groups. It will not be easy.”
Frank trains most days at the highly successful
Southport YMCA Gymnastic Club under coach
Jeff Brooks.

Franks added "I need to work hardest at my
routines on the high bar and rings. I am still
growing and my strength will improve as I get
older.“

Speaking of his spot on the SportsAid 16 for
2016 list he said: "I think that becoming one of
the 16 for 2016 is a good opportunity to raise the
profile of the sport of gymnastics so that more
people start to do it."
