SportsAid Week is back for a third consecutive year in 2018! There's lots of fun and fundraising being planned to support British sports stars of the future when the initiative takes place from 24-30 September.


The #MyMiles Challenge

The #MyMiles Challenge returns for SportsAid Week 2018. The social media campaign is encouraging you to keep young talented athletes company as they train and compete throughout the week!




SportsAid supports athletes from over 60 sports - most of which are Olympic and Paralympic disciplines.



SportsAid helps more than a thousand young talented athletes across the country every year.



SportsAid's partners include local businesses, global brands and charitable trusts.

SportsAid has become a partner of the UK’s European Week of Sport to encourage young people to #BeActive through the #MyMiles Schools Challenge this September! SportsAid Week 2018 will see the exciting introduction of a dedicated #MyMiles Schools Day, asking pupils to complete a minimum of one mile of exercise before kindly donating £1 to the charity to help the next generation of British sporting heroes.

Since 2012, Sportsbeat, in partnership with SportsAid, has played a key role in telling the stories of young athletes through regional and national newspapers, leading broadcast outlets and online platforms. Sportsbeat also delivers training to up-and-coming sports stars on how to embrace the media.

With the help of SportsAid, I did my thing. I didn’t come from a wealthy family, and there were times when I thought ‘I need a job’ but I stuck to my swimming. Thankfully it did pay off. It's about gambling and making sacrifices. I put a high risk in myself and invested the time in what was going to make the difference to my swimming.

The final Bloomsbury Lunch Club of 2018 with Rayner Essex will be on Friday 2 November. Bloomsbury Lunch Club is held in the Princes Room at BMA House from 12:30pm – 2:30pm, offering an ideal environment for our informal networking event, and providing you with the opportunity to meet with other like-minded business people. Those who have attended our Bloomsbury Lunch Clubs in the past will know how different and enjoyable these networking events are. Admission to the event is free and we encourage you to bring along as many colleagues/contacts/friends as you like. All proceeds raised on the day are donated to SportsAid with the money going directly to support SportsAid athletes.
